Madison B. Alger is a partner in the Charleston office of CSVL  Madison has experience handling a wide range of civil litigation matters.  She primarily focuses her practice on construction defect, professional liability, personal injury, and insurance coverage and bad faith claims.  Madison has handled a variety of civil litigation matters, including class action litigation, multi-family projects, site work design, and other complex construction defect claims, where she has represented a range of parties from developers to general contractors, subcontractors, and materials suppliers.  She has also defended other professionals, including realtors, accountants and attorneys.

Madison is an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyer’s Division, and the Charleston Lawyers Club.  Prior to joining CSVL, Madison practiced at a well-respected boutique litigation firm in Charleston, S.C., where she concentrated her practice on multi-family construction defect claims and products liability litigation.

Madison received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2013, graduating magna cum laude and in the top 5% of her class.  She received CALI awards in Property Law and Income Tax.  Madison was inducted into the Order of the Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif, national legal honor societies which recognize outstanding academic achievement.  During law school, Madison served as the Associate Managing Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and was employed as a Law Clerk for the South Carolina House of Representatives Judiciary Committee.  Prior to law school, Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2010) from Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee.
