Robert D. Norton is an associate attorney at CSVL’s Chattanooga office, practicing general liability defense, transportation, construction defect, and commercial disputes. Robert is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Nebraska, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Chattanooga Bar Association, and Nebraska State Bar Association. Before joining CSVL, Robert served as a Judicial Term Clerk for the Honorable Stephanie F. Stacy of the Nebraska Supreme Court where he gained valuable insight and understanding of the appellate process. Following his clerkship, Robert joined a firm in Chattanooga, where he focused on labor and employment law.

Robert received a Bachelor of Science in 2016 from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in 2018 from East Tennessee State University before graduating magna cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2022. During his time at Creighton University School of Law, Robert was the Editor-in-Chief of the Creighton Law Review and authored a published article on a 4th Amendment issue. He was also inducted in the Order of Barristers, participated in the Trial and Arbitration Teams, graduated in the top 10 of his class, and received CALI awards for excellence in Contracts, International Law, and Business of Law.

Robert enjoys living up on Signal Mountain with his wife, Caitlin. He has a passion for cooking, exercising, and all things outdoors.
