Katie Wright is an associate in our Chattanooga office. She focuses her practice on Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith, General Liability, Trucking & Transportation, and Construction litigation. She is proficient in Spanish and licensed to practice in Georgia and the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining CSVL, Katie practiced as an assistant district attorney where she specialized in investigating and indicting criminal cases. She’s experienced in handling pre-trial motions, pleas, and post-trial appeals. She has also accused, indicted, and tried cases in Superior and State courts. She’s skilled in oral advocacy and witness questioning and drafting and arguing motions and briefs. During law school, Katie gained experience in immigration law, conflict defense, criminal justice with the Tennessee House of Representatives, and discrimination in education with the Georgia Legal Services program. Katie has also received the Case Intake Platinum Award in 2024, and the Excellence in Pro Bono Award in 2020.

Katie graduated cum laude from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and 9th in her class. She is a 4-time Cali Award recipient and was the Oral Argument Competition Winner in 2018. Prior to law school, Katie played D1 soccer at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She graduated summa cum laude in 2017 with a degree in political science and minor in psychology.

Outside of her legal career, Katie is a soccer coach and holds a National D License. She’s previously coached goalkeepers for NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II soccer teams.
