Zachary Brown is an associate at our Chattanooga office, focusing his practice on construction litigation, commercial litigation, and professional & management liability litigation. He is licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee and the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee.

Prior to joining CSVL, Zach practiced employment law in Nashville where he negotiated agreements, drafted prelitigation demands, advised small businesses and nonprofits on entity formation and contracts, and advocated for his clients throughout the prelitigation and litigation processes. As a legislative attorney for the Tennessee General Assembly, Zach drafted legislation on employment, data privacy, insurance, and healthcare. He’s also worked on policies and procedures, contracts, and government affairs for the Tennessee Education Lottery. Zach’s experience gives him the necessary perspective to successfully advocate for our construction, commercial, and professional liability clients.

Zach graduated summa cum laude from Samford University with a degree in history. After college, Zach served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Panjakent, Tajikistan. After returning to Nashville, he worked in software before attending Belmont University College of Law where he was the Executive Articles Editor for the Belmont Law Review.

Zach lives in west Nashville with his wife, who is a professional seamstress, and their horrible cats. Outside of work, he enjoys card games, coffee, and horror movies.
