April Romeo is Of Counsel in our Chattanooga office, focusing her practice on Commercial and Professional Liability litigation. She has nearly twenty years of experience in contract negotiation and regulatory advising and has tried more than 50 bench and jury trials.

Prior to joining CSVL, April served as an Assistant District Attorney in Tennessee’s 10th Judicial District. As a trial attorney for the State, she’s led jury trials as first chair and managed a busy courtroom docket that included preliminary hearings, sentencing proceedings, bond hearings, and probation violations. She’s worked closely with victims, law enforcement, and expert witnesses to prepare cases for trial and routinely evaluated complex legal and factual issues within tight timelines.

April previously served as in-house counsel and Human Resources Manager for a national live entertainment company where she advised executives and board members on contract risk, employment matters, and regulatory compliance. She’s negotiated high-value agreements with artist agencies, oversaw claims and demands brought by and against the company, and acted as a liaison with outside counsel and regulatory agencies. By managing both legal and operational priorities, April has unique perspective and practice understanding of her clients’ business needs and how to protect their interests in litigation. She also experience in private practice, where she developed her skills in client counseling, motion practice, and effective case resolution strategies. She handled a wide range of civil cases from initial consultation through trial, including drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements, preparing witnesses, and appearing regularly in court.

April earned her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Georgia, Tennessee, Iowa, Nebraska, and the Sixth Circuit United States Court of Appeals, and the Middle District of Tennessee – United States District Court.
