Chanel is an associate in the Atlanta office of Copeland, Stair, Valz & Lovell. With extensive experience and dedication to her clients, Chanel has successfully handled a wide range of legal matters throughout the metro Atlanta area. Chanel specializes in a variety of cases involving architects, engineers, contractors and other design professionals in disputes related to construction. Chanel’s practice consists of defending a wide range of clients in complex, multi-party, construction defect claims, general liability matters, including premises liability as well as insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.

Prior to joining CSVL, Chanel worked at a boutique firm where she was a transaction and litigation attorney, representing school boards, development authorities, numerous government agencies, and local businesses. She is well-versed in the complexities of litigation and skillfully represents her clients’ interests across multiple jurisdictions. Chanel also defended indigent clients as an advocate for those facing criminal misdemeanor charges in the State Courts of Clayton and Henry County.

As a solo practitioner, Chanel handled civil litigation proceedings, as well as real estate transactions. She rendered representation on a full range of procedural and substantive issues related to trademark clearances and trademark prosecutions. Her background involves an excessive amount of experience providing advice to corporations regarding implementation of regulatory compliance strategies and risk management.

Her professional affiliations include, but are not limited to, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Gate City Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. Chanel is a notary public for Fulton County, Georgia, as well as a volunteer for the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
