Jim Vergura is an associate attorney in our Atlanta office with over 25 years of experience in litigation, personal injury, environmental law, and document review. Jim earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Vermont Law School in 1995, where he received the AmJur Award in Evidence and was named to the National Dean’s List.

Throughout his career, Jim has handled a wide variety of cases from inception to resolution. He is skilled in all phases of pretrial litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients in complex litigation. Jim has played a pivotal role in more than 100 litigation-related projects, including analyzing intricate legal documents and preparing detailed memos for depositions.

Jim brings a unique background as an environmental law attorney, having worked as Senior Public Policy Research Coordinator at the Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research. There, he authored influential policy papers, managed federally funded environmental projects, and contributed critical thought leadership on Clean Water Act issues and agricultural policy.

Admitted to practice law in Georgia, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Arizona, Jim is committed to serving clients with exceptional advocacy and attention to detail.

When he’s not navigating complex legal matters, Jim enjoys playing golf and exploring the outdoors. A passionate history buff and traveler, he loves discovering new destinations and cultural experiences. Jim lives in the Atlanta area and cherishes time with family, friends, and his community.
