Support Staff
Luke H. Neder is a seasoned litigator with a broad range of experience. He’s represented corporate clients — including national banks, insurance companies, and product manufacturers — in state and federal court across a variety of practice areas.
Luke has significant experience defending architects, engineers, and other design professionals in federal claims arising under the Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. He also provides non-litigation support to his design professional clients.
Luke regularly represents and advises lawyers, accountants, and other professionals in cases involving alleged professional negligence. He also defends general contractors in cases alleging defective construction in residential and commercial construction projects.
Luke has significant experience defending clients in personal injury matters involving catastrophic injury and death. He has defended trucking companies and truck drivers following serious automobile collisions. He has also defended large, national retail stores in slip-and-fall actions.
Luke concentrates his practice on professional liability defense, commercial litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, and transportation and motor carrier law. He is co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group.
Luke received his undergraduate education from Flagler College where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English (B.A., 2002). He earned his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law School where he graduated magna cum laude (J.D., 2009).
Luke is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Georgia, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.
Luke is a Chattanooga native with strong ties to the Chattanooga community and bar. He is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association (Chattanooga Chapter). He serves on the Board of Directors for Downside Up., Inc., which is a non-profit organization that provides creative spaces and experiences that encourage growth, inspire learning, and develop connections for children with disabilities and their families.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, and exploring Chattanooga and the surrounding area. His greatest individual passion is the martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Luke trains regularly and believes strongly that the principles learned in Jiu Jitsu benefit him personally and professionally.
