Rebecca V. M. Phelan is an Associate in our Chattanooga office focusing her practice on Trucking & Transportation Litigation. Rebecca recently graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in Ohio where she received two Certificates in Litigation, Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Insurance Law. While in law school, she was a Trial Team member in the Ohio Attorney General Public Service Mock Trial Competition, a member of the Black Students Association, and a member of the Gay/Straight Law Alliance. During one of her legal summer internships with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, she drafted memorandum and completed research that aided in a case of first impression before the Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals asserting a crime victim’s right to restitution. Prior to law school, Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
