Taylor Gardner is an associate in the CSVL Charleston office, where she focuses her practice on professional liability defense. She has experience representing corporate clients in contract disputes, franchise matters, business torts, and insurance coverage issues, and is adept at partnering with her clients to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions.  

Prior to joining private practice, Taylor served as an associate general counsel for an international staffing franchisor. In that role, she advised senior leadership on franchise operations and regulatory compliance and developed legal workflows to support M&A diligence and facilitate international growth. Earlier in her career, Taylor served as a law clerk to the Honorable Steve C. Jones in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Taylor earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law. While in law school, she served as a Legal Research & Writing Fellow and on the executive board of the Legal Association for Women Students. Upon graduation, she received the Pro Bono Award in recognition of her commitment to nonprofit legal service throughout law school.

Outside of her legal career, Taylor is a certified Pilates instructor, avid equestrian, and enjoys traveling and the culinary arts.
