Zachary Simons is a native of Georgia who joined Copeland, Stair, Valz & Lovell, LLP in 2023. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, commercial and business law, and general liability. Zachary graduated from the University of Tennessee College of law, where he received his J.D. with concentrations in Representing Enterprises and Tax Planning. While attending law school, he served on the editorial board of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. He also gained practical legal experience through working as a student attorney in the UT College of Law Business Clinic.

Zachary comes to the firm following a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Jeffery M. Atherton and The Honorable Pamela A. Fleenor of the Hamilton County Chancery Court in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a judicial law clerk, he assisted the Chancellors by drafting opinions and orders, researching complex legal issues, and drafting various memoranda.

Outside of the law, Zachary enjoys traveling, snow skiing, and trying to play golf. He has skied in the French Alps and Canadian Rockies. Zachary is an avid sports fan and, most of all, loves cheering for his Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers.
