Lee Weatherly and Caroline Niland secured a dismissal for their Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Dermatologist client without the necessity of an indemnity payment on his behalf. Plaintiffs alleged that the Dermatologist was negligent leading to an alleged pre-existing basal cell carcinoma to continue to go undiagnosed for a period of time. They claimed that the Dermatologist’s negligence led to extensive medical treatment totaling over $1 million dollars, disfigurement, and lost income. However, after Lee and Caroline forcefully contradicted every claim made by Plaintiffs’ expert, both in discovery and with their own defense experts, their client was dismissed without any indemnity payment made.
