Case against National hotel chain settled for less than half of claimed damages

In this case, the Plaintiffs’ decedent suffered a fractured patella when he slipped on a sidewalk during the rain. The Plaintiffs’ lodged claims against a national hotel chain contending that the painted sidewalk was unreasonably dangerous when wet. Lee Weatherly and Kierra Brown were able to lodge third-party claims against the subcontractors responsible for painting the sidewalk. This decision ultimately resolved the claims against the hotel for less than half of the Plaintiffs’ claimed special damages and only 20% of Plaintiffs’ demand.
