Gary Lovell and Blake G. Abbott successfully defended their OB/GYN client on all claims last week. The Patient Plaintiff suffered a perforation in her large bowel, which Plaintiffs contended occurred during her Cesarean section and alleged that our OB/GYN client breached the standard of care by failing to reasonably investigate what Plaintiffs considered to be unusual signs and symptoms of the Patient Plaintiff during her initial postpartum admission. After one and a half weeks of fact and expert testimony, the jury found that our OB/GYN client did not deviate from the standard of care in a defense verdict on all claims.
