Kathy is the Managing Partner of the Charleston, South Carolina office. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, transportation, insurance coverage, professional and general liability defense, and construction defect matters. Kathy is Co-Chair of the CSVL Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Practice Group. She handles a wide variety of litigation and pre-suit matters throughout South Carolina and successfully defends and advises professionals, corporate clients, and insurers. When cases must proceed past the initial stages, Kathy is experienced in efficiently developing a litigation strategy through discovery and successfully resolving claims in mediation, or at trial if necessary.

Prior to joining CSVL, Kathy began her career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable A. Victor Rawl, Judge for the Ninth Circuit.  She then served as a prosecutor in Charleston, South Carolina for two years.. Kathy has been practicing law in South Carolina for over 20 years, and she has handled legal matters in venues throughout the state and federal courts, including numerous jury and non-jury trials. Kathy has repeatedly been named as a South Carolina Lawyer Rising Star. Only 2.5 percent of the total lawyers in the state are honored on the Rising Stars® list.
