CLM (Claims and Litigation Management) Claims College in Baltimore, Maryland featured CSVL leaders Angela Kopet, Kristen Thompson, and Lee Weatherly
Angela Kopet returned as a Dean of CLM’s School of Leadership, demonstratingher continued commitment to shaping the next generation of leaders in the insurance claims industry. She also joined the Faculty and taught one of the classes, “Effectively Influencing Others”, sharing her expertise and insights with students.
Kristen Thompson taught a group of claims professionals advanced negotiation skills utilizing real world scenarios so they could take the advanced techniques and use them negotiating claims.
Lee Weatherly returned to Claims College for the second year, this time focusing on the complex bad faith principles and how claims professionals can utilize customer service techniques to avoid allegations of bad faith, potentially exposing their employers to extracontractual liability.
CLM’s Claims College is a specialized education designed for claims professionals taught by senior executives and industry experts from some of the most high profile organizations and law firms in the country. Attendees reap the benefit of their instructor’s experience with practical takeaways, tools, and new approaches to the issues they deal with every day. This real-world knowledge with real-world application is taught over three days, immersing the students in an interactive classroom, receive live, hands-on instruction, and interacting with other claims professionals from across the country. Attendees who pass the examinations conducted at the end of each course earn Certified Claims Professional (CCP) and/or Advanced Claims Professional (ACP) designations.
