CSVL is honored to announce named partner Kent T. Stair has been appointed by Governor Henry McMaster to serve as the Public Member of the South Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Kent’s term will run through December 31, 2029, and he will serve alongside four Professional Engineers and three Professional Land Surveyors.

The South Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors plays a crucial role in safeguarding public health and safety. The Board ensures that only qualified and competent professionals are licensed to practice, they promote technical and ethical standards, and they uphold the Rules of Professional Conduct for engineers and surveyors.

With more than 49 years of legal practice, Kent has dedicated 43 years of service to guiding and defending design professionals in the architecture, engineering, and surveying industries of Georgia and South Carolina. He understands the challenges and responsibilities within these industries, and is committed to protecting public safety. One of Kent’s passions is to share his experiences and education with design professionals and fellow attorneys. He is known for always having an anecdote about any kind of legal or engineering challenge professionals may face and we’re grateful for his generosity and wealth of knowledge!
