Angela Kopet with the help of her team recently obtained a complete dismissal of Plaintiff’s Complaint against their corporate defendant as a discovery sanction. After Plaintiff failed to attend two noticed depositions and chose to withhold the verification to her discovery, CSVL moved to dismiss Plaintiff’s personal injury lawsuit pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 9-11-37. The Plaintiff filed multiple responses, and generally expressing dismissal was too harsh. However, based on the facts presented, The Superior Court of Murray County ordered a complete dismissal of the action after oral arguments.
