CSVL Tennessee wins trial on behalf of Fortune 200 Client
Brian Spitler, Michael Dellinger, and Kent Stair won a bench trial verdict in favor of their Fortune 200 client following a trial which extended over a 3-week period. The Plaintiff sued CSVL’s client following the souring of a commercial relationship between the two. The Plaintiff claimed fraud, fraudulent inducement, fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence, negligence and breach of contract; claiming over $10,000,000 in damages. CSVL, in turn, counter-sued Plaintiff for their failure to pay for parts provided by CSVL’s client.
At trial the CSVL team was able to successfully argue that Plaintiff failed to meet the elements of their claims. The Court’s opinion noted a less than favorable fact pattern for CSVL’s client. The Court found, however, that the legal arguments made by the CSVL team were too strong to overcome. The Court’s verdict found emphatically in favor of CSVL’s client, awarding them over $350,000 in damages, while none was awarded to Plaintiff.
The Court’s verdict emphasized the incredible work done by the Tennessee based CSVL team on behalf of its client, and the zealous advocacy to which CSVL’s clients are accustomed.
